Origin and meaning<\/strong>
This thoroughfare is located in Varennes, Mont\u00e9r\u00e9gie region. His name recalls Jacques L’Huissier (Paris, France, c. 1646 – Sorel, 1713), husband of Charlotte De La Marche (Paris, France, ? – Boucherville, 1671). In 1669, the couple married and settled in Varennes. Their daughter, Marie L’Huissier (1671-1695), was the first Varennoise. In 1671, Jacques L’Huissier married for a second time another Parisian, Catherine Cl\u00e9rice (c. 1653-1715), with whom he had thirteen children. He died drowned in 1713 and his body was buried in Sorel.<\/p>\n
